ABOUT DON LAW

Chairman of Live Nation – New England

Don Law is the Chairman of Live Nation – New England, the world’s leading producer and presenter of live entertainment. He served as CEO and Chairman of Clear Channel Music from 2002 to 2005, now known as Live Nation.

Founder of the Xfinity Center (formerly Great Woods Center) in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Don Law has played a pivotal role in shaping premier performance amphitheaters in the United States. The Xfinity Center received accolades such as "Top Amphitheater in the United States" in 2008 and 2009 by Billboard Magazine, and "Top Amphitheater of the Decade."

In 1999, Don Law opened the 5,000 seat Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion at its new location on Boston Harbor, replacing the Harborlights Pavilion. He also co-founded New England Express Ticketing (NEXT), the world’s first fully automated, high-volume reserved-seat ticketing system, and Precision Media, a broadcasting company operating radio stations in New England.

Additionally, Don Law co-founded and served as the inaugural chairman of the North American Concert Promoter Association. In 2009, he, along with David Mugar, purchased the historic Boston Opera House and other iconic venues like House of Blues Boston and The Paradise.

In 2018, Don entered into a partnership with the Red Sox and Live Nation to develop the MGM Music Hall at Fenway, which opened in 2022, quickly establishing itself as an industry leader.

Throughout his career, Don Law has been actively involved in various non-profit and charitable causes, supporting organizations like Stop Handgun Violence, Kids at Risk, and the AIDS Action Committee. He has also served as a Trustee for several organizations, including the Massachusetts Special Olympics and the New England Conservatory of Music.

Don Law received the Industry Recognition Award by Action for Boston Community Development in 1993, an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws from Emerson College in 1999, and a Boston University Distinguished Alumni Award in 1995. In 2017, he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Pollstar Convention in Los Angeles.

Don Law and his wife, Sara Molyneaux, reside in Dover, Massachusetts, and have two sons, Chris and Sam.
