Ling-Se Chesnakas

Ling-Se Chesnakas has been teaching in the Boston Public Schools for thirteen years. Prior to teaching at BAA, she taught 12th grade Humanities and Visual Arts and worked as an Evidence Based Argumentation (EBA) instructional leader at the Urban Science Academy. She currently teaches 10th and 11th grade Humanities.
Outside of teaching, Ling-Se serves on two advisory boards; one is the Boston Writing Project (BWP), which provides teacher professional development on writing instruction, and the other is her mother Yin Peet’s nonprofit art organization Contemporary Arts International (CAI), which provides gallery/studio space, materials, and inspiration for both local and international artists to work and collaborate. She has also presented her work with the Right Question Project on using the Question Formulation Technique (QFT) at various conferences and PD for teachers with the goal of giving teachers a tool that promotes student voice and student-centered learning. Her academic accomplishments include a B.A in English from George Washington University and a M.Ed. from Boston College.
