Each year, Boston Arts Academy Foundation presents the Champion Award to a member of the community who embodies the school’s commitment to the arts, scholarship, and citizenship.

Champion Reception 2023

We’re partnering with 4 Corners Yoga & Wellness to host a $25 charity yoga class in recognition of Boston Arts Academy’s 25 years of providing transformative public arts education to our city’s youth. 

 Saturday, January 21 from 11:30am - 12:30pm for slow flow yoga - all levels welcome! Class proceeds will be donated to fund Boston Arts Academy's arts programming, as well as its Health & Wellness services.

 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The generosity that came together in one building was immense, the company unbeatable, and the celebration breathtaking. To raise 

 figures for our deserving students is incredible, and our gratitude is boundless. Further, to see the rich diversity of our BAA student body reflected in the faces of our BAA Honors leadership, honorees, and guests is deeply meaningful.

What an incredible evening and celebration that captured the spirit of 25 years of BAA and the alumni community! 

This year's Homecoming was the largest alumni reunion to date with alumni traveling from all over the world including Germany, Florida, and New York to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Years spent at Boston Arts Academy are life-changing and unforgettable experiences for our BAA alumni, fostering some of the most impactful and meaningful creative journeys of their lives. Even after they have left the halls of the school, alums always know they have a home within the BAA community. This October we invite all BAA alumni to celebrate 25 years of BAA and milestone reunions of classes 2002, 2007, 2012, and 2017! The BAA Alumni Board and Association is very excited to celebrate the evening where it all started, at 174 Ipswich Street, in the new school building!

The evening will include a tour of the new school building, artwork, performances, special guests, hors d' oeuvres, DJ, dancing, and more!

Alumni Homecoming 2022

The Boston Arts Academy & Boston Arts Academy Foundation are hosting a public meeting to discuss the naming of spaces within the new building.

Attendees can expect an explanation of the naming conventions and the current recommendations. In addition, some history of individuals and their contribution to BAA's students and ongoing support will be highlighted as well. 

For example, former Mayor of Boston and now U.S. Secretary of Labor, Marty J. Walsh, played a large role in BAA's leap into architectural modernity while serving as Boston's mayor.

From the theatre to the stage to the fitness center, there are multiple opportunities to have a name on a place which will help ensure that the school's legacy remains intact and the students are supported for generations to come.

We hope you can join us, learn about the process, and lend an ear. There are exciting and amazing things happening as we look to the Grand Opening of the new BAA school building!

BAA Public Meeting - Named Spaces

kicked off an important year for Boston Arts Academy with the grand opening of the new school building and the 25th anniversary celebration ahead! 

The event also included a conversation between special guests, Lee Michael Kennedy, President & CEO of Lee Kennedy Co., Inc. (construction firm who built the new school building) and Rebekah Salwasser, Executive VP of Social Impact at Boston Red Sox and Executive Director of Red Sox Foundation.
